Room 2: Under Construction

Three years ago Steve, Owner and Creator of Marvo, underwent lifesaving brain surgery. He was diagnosed with a Grade 4 brain tumour and given less than a year to live. 3 years on and he’s still fighting, we are so very thankful he has surpassed the original prognosis. Unfortunately, Steve is now going through a reoccurrence and giving chemo another try.

So we ask you to please bear with us whilst we put our sequel Marvo game on hold, and concentrate on treatment and quality of life.

A message from Steve: ‘The next chapter in Marvo is going to happen, and I deeply apologise for those of you that have been waiting so long! Lizzy tells me that we get messages from you guys on a daily basis asking when it’s going to be ready. It’s a legacy I want to leave behind for everyone to enjoy. I designed the trilogy of Marvo games years ago and really want to bring it to life for you all. But right now I’m not able, physically and mentally, to make this a reality just yet. Thank you and keep believing in adventure.’ 🕵

Thank you x 🙏

Hello Volunteers! It’s Lizzy here, as many of you know MARVO is mine and Steves brain child and passion project. We wanted to share some news with you, unfortunately we’ve recently run into some bad luck. After suffering from headaches and many trips back and forth to different doctors, last year Steve was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma, the worst kind of brain tumour, and given 9-12 months to live. Our whole world has been turned upside down.

He had brain surgery followed by rigorous treatment and while he did amazingly well through it, the delayed side effects hit him hard this year losing his strength and mobility.

We've spent 2022 building his strength back up and we are incredibly thankful to have surpassed Steves initial prognosis of one year. And continue to push with positive thoughts and plenty of adventures!

We have kept our beloved Escape Room running with the amazing help and support of our lovely staff, but obviously our future plans for Marvo have been put on hold.

I know many people are wondering when our new game will be ready (5 years in the making!) And we want to let everyone know that it is in the pipeline and it’s a legacy that Steve wants to leave for the world to enjoy!

A big Thank You to everyone, your continued support of Marvo means there is one less thing for us both to worry about ❤

Best wishes,
Lizzy & Steve x
